Shropshire RCC
Shropshire RCC works with individuals and groups to improve quality of life and strengthen communities in the county. Whether it is helping a new group or enterprise to set up or supporting an established organisation to review its future activities, the charity has a wealth of knowledge and experience with which to help. Examples of the support they could offer your organisation include:
- Helping you to build a strong Board and governance structure, including understanding and updating your governing document, carrying out a skills audit, taking stock via a facilitated away day and providing a programme of training to your board.
- Developing the skills of staff, volunteers and trustees through accredited and non-accredited training courses, conferences and workshops
- Helping you manage a community building by providing advice, training for volunteers and access to the nationally recognised quality mark, Hallmark
- Supporting organisations to generate an income from their work and to establish social enterprises through advice and business coaching from a SFEDI accredited advisor
- Matching potential volunteers with the organisations that need their skills and helping volunteer managers to be effective in their role
- Developing practical methods for you to use to consult your community and find out the views of your service users
- Providing you with information on where to find funding and how to make your case for funding
- Organising events and networking opportunities to bring organisations together to make connections and learn from each other
