Shropshire Youth Association

Shropshire Youth Association supports new and existing voluntary youth groups across the county. The support they can provide includes:

• One to one support and an induction pack to help volunteers to understand the steps involved in setting up a youth club safely and correctly
• Templates, model policies and help to create and maintain appropriate procedures for the recruitment of staff and volunteers
• Assistance with advertising vacancies and with interview and selection processes
• Essential training such as First Aid, Child Protection, Safe Recruitment and Retention
• NOCN accredited ‘Understanding Youth Work Principles and Practice’ training
• Access to Criminal Record Bureau checks
• Ongoing support to existing youth groups tailored to their needs
