Shropshire Community Fund

Available from Shropshire RCC, are grants of up to £750 from the Shropshire Community Fund, which makes grants primarily to voluntary groups and small charities whose activities are concerned with promoting and addressing health and wellbeing. A limited number of grants are also made for more general charitable purposes. The grants can be used to purchase equipment, to cover training costs and special projects, as well as helping with general running costs and the start-up costs of new groups.

Jan Dodd, on behalf of the Community Fund, said:

“The Community Fund Committee wishes to support small local groups who find it difficult to access other sources of funding. A wide range of initiatives can be grant-aided and previous applicants are also eligible to reapply. The beneficial area of the Fund is Shropshire, excluding Telford and Wrekin, which has its own fund”.
