Funding for community groups in Shropshire- Deadline approaching soon!
Are you involved in the running of a group, based in Shropshire, which benefits people in your community?
If so, you may be eligible for funding from one of the current grant programmes administered by the Community Council of Shropshire.
There is funding available from three separate programmes but only for a limited time! The Grants Officer is keen to receive applications from as many community groups as possible to ensure the money is distributed fairly across the county to those most in need of assistance, so if you think your group may be eligible- contact us!
Shropshire Grassroots Fund
This Fund offers grants of between £250 and £5,000 to Shropshire community groups with an average income of less than £30,000 a year. The fund prioritises smaller, volunteer-led groups which can demonstrate the impact of their project on the community. Groups must have been in existence for at least 12 months and be able to demonstrate that the project or activity is needed by the community.
Examples of things that groups can apply for include:
- The purchase of equipment
- Staff costs to enable the employment of individuals
- The costs of attending a conference or training event
- Additional activities to expand an existing funded project
- Activities that meet an identified need in the local community
